Cut & Glaze Exhibition

The summer break has made time and space for creating new work. Rhianna has created a range of ceramic wall sculptures and hand built vessels using lush Australian red terracotta.

Her influences and visual inspiration comes from various sources, from mid 20th century art movements to ceremonial objects and vessels from primitive and ritualistic cultures.

The new ceramic work is intriguing and curious yet familiar and tactile – the role or purpose undefined, allowing the viewer not to be overly guided and for the wall sculptures and vessels to have a language of their own.

Rhianna's approach to her work is through seeing and making, texturing clay, cutting, assembling, building, glazing, composing and creating alongside a visual vocabulary of shape and colour.

The exhibition of ceramic work will be on till Tuesday April 11 2023. All are welcome at the opening event, please RSVP for catering reasons using the button below.
